PDI has established a department focused on providing “third party” plan review and inspections for other entities.
- TEA Code Compliance Reviews
- City of San Antonio – Plan Review for P.E. Certification (IB102a/b)
- Review for AHJ’s under Chapter 1 when the issue is complex or the jurisdiction does not have the capacity
- IDIQ Contracts for “as needed” plan review
For more information please send our team an email.
PDI provides plan review and inspections on behalf of the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office for projects owned by Bexar County and located within the City of San Antonio. These projects must follow the codes and amendments of the City of San Antonio.
Contact Deputy Fire Marshal Ellie Martinez with the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office to submit the permit package. For in person submittal, BCFMO will need a printed copy of the permit application and all items in electronic format on a thumb drive. BCFMO will forward the submittal to PDI for review.
Permits are required from the City of San Antonio for projects that have site work. This includes changes to impervious cover (drainage/stormwater), tree, landscaping, irrigation, retaining walls, street improvements, curb cuts, or work in the right-of-way. If requested by Bexar County Facilities, PDI will assist with the City permitting process.
Once the permits are issued, PDI and its team will perform the construction inspections on behalf of the BCFMO. Inspections are requested online (link below). PDI will coordinate with BCFMO through the close-out of the project.
